Within institutional settings, pharmacists are integral in communicating up-to-date information in real-time to members of every clinical profession. Alex Yampolsky, PharmD, is a pediatric clinical pharmacist at one of the largest pediatric long-term care facilities on the east coast, Elizabeth Seton Children’s center in Yonkers, New York, where he optimizes the comfort and care of his patients.In addition to his clinical pharmacy experience, Dr. Yampolsky has consulted on the side for healthcare-focused tech companies. In these roles, he has supported projects in clinical information, medical and science writing, understanding the pharmacy landscape, strategic partnerships, and new product development.In 2012 he co-founded and was the pharmacist in charge of Medicine Man Pharmacy and Compounding in Hoboken, New Jersey. As the pharmacist in charge, Dr. Yampolsky engaged with his community and created a holistic healthcare experience, preparing patient-specific compounded medications. His mission was to individualize care for each patient that came to his store. He takes this holistic approach with him to every setting he finds himself.
Alex Yampolsky received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2011. His interest in patient-centered care has also led him to complete a certificate in pharmacogenomics from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
