My goal is to provide information that empowers people to take charge of their health. So much of the disease that we experience is a result of lifestyles that don't support healthy choices. Even small changes in diet, exercise, and attention to our mental well-being can make big differences.
Dr. Anju Goel, MD, MPH, is a board-certified physician with over ten years of experience in the California public health system addressing communicable disease, health policy, health promotion, and disaster preparedness. She previously worked as a county health officer and is currently a public health consultant for the CDC on the COVID-19 response.
In addition to her work in public health, her previous positions included working as a staff physician with a start-up that delivered care to patients in their homes and as a professional editor for a medical software company.Dr. Goel also conducts pro bono forensic evaluations for asylum seekers as a volunteer for Physicians for Human Rights, provides medical consultation for youth with diabetes in East Africa as a volunteer for Life for a Child, and co-leads the American Medical Women's Association literary medicine task force.
Dr. Goel graduated from Grinnell College with a BA in biology. She earned her MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and her Master of Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
