Ashley Baumohl, MPH, RD, has gained invaluable clinical experience working as a surgical dietitian at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. In this role, she provides medical nutrition therapy for patients with head, neck, stomach, and intestinal cancers and acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions. She took on an individualized condition-specific approach so patients could feel their best eating and digesting food and reduce their risk for nutrient deficiencies and complications. Ashley became specialized in nutrition support (Oral Nutrition, IV Nutrition, and Enteral Nutrition) and obtained her Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential established by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). She is looked to as a resource among the interdisciplinary teams. She has provided numerous presentations and webinars on Medical Nutrition Therapy for Complex Gastrointestinal Disorders for doctors, nurses, dietitians, interns.
Ashley obtained her Master's degree in Public Health with a focus in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She studied various sub-studies of nutrition and fundamental public health courses like biostatistics, epidemiology, and environmental health sciences. After receiving her MPH, she then completed a dietetic internship where she completed over 1200 hours of supervised practice at both clinical and community sites around Michigan.
