The field of dermatology is changing quickly, and I am happy to be a part of the effort to provide accurate, current, and topical online information.
After completing his dermatology residency at New York University, Casey Gallagher, MD, was appointed assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology. While there, he trained dermatology residents and served as director of the Residency Selection Committee. Dr. Gallagher also maintained a private dermatology practice with NYU’s Faculty Practice. He co-founded the first medical-student-operated free clinic in Manhattan and received university recognition for this contribution to community health.Dr. Gallagher has also co-authored various chapters in the textbook, “Current Dermatologic Diagnosis and Treatment.” He has also been published in the American Journal of Contact Dermatitis. In Colorado, he has been interviewed for articles on skin care by the Denver Post, the Boulder Daily Camera, and the Longmont Times-Call, and he has appeared on Denver radio to answer questions about skin cancer. Dr. Gallagher has made numerous national and regional presentations on dermatology.
Dr. Gallagher graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, with a bachelor’s degree in American History and Literature. He received his medical degree and did his internship at the University of California, San Francisco, and completed his dermatology residency at New York University in New York City.
