Chris Vincent, MD, is a former medical reviewer and licensed physician and surgeon who has been actively practicing and teaching family medicine in the Seattle region for over 30 years. He is currently employed by the University of Washington School of Medicine and is a clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine. He sees patients at the Family Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and supervises residents in family medicine at a clinic in North Seattle.
In addition to his clinical and teaching experience, Dr. Vincent serves as the assistant editor for The Journal of Family Practice and Cochrane Clinical Answers. He is also an editor for the HelpDesk Answers series in Evidence-Based Practice, published on behalf of the Family Physician Inquiries Network.
Dr. Vincent received his bachelor's degree from Harvard University (1979) and his doctorate in medicine from the UCLA School of Medicine (1983).
He received post-graduate training from the University of Washington Department of Family Medicine, serving as chief resident for one year, as well as from the University of Washington Faculty Development Fellowship and the National Institute of Program Director Development (NIPDD). Dr. Vincent received his board certification from the American Board of Family Practice.
