Medicine and, specifically, rheumatology has recently progressed, rapidly leaving many providers and patients unable to stay current with treatment options and trends. I'm excited to use my proficiencies in order to bring this information to the public.
David Ozeri, MD, FACP, FACR, is a board-certified rheumatologist from Tel Aviv, Israel. He completed his internal medicine residency in 2015 at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. There, he was privileged to both work in a dense busy inner-city county hospital at Kings County Hospital Center and to take part in the care of veterans at New York Harbor Healthcare Hospital. His training experience strongly impacts his view of information sharing and medical resource equity.
After completing his internal medicine training, he continued on to a fellowship in rheumatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His rheumatology training focused on the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders as well as autoimmune diseases. There, he had the advantage of working with leaders in the fields of autoimmunity and connective tissue disease. During his fellowship, he was introduced to using novel biologic therapies to overcome relentless, debilitating autoimmune diseases.
After completing his fellowship, he was awarded an academic appointment as an assistant professor at Weill Cornell as he worked clinically at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Since then, he works and does research at Sheba Medical Center in Israel. There, he focuses on biologic therapies, vasculitis, and connective tissue disorders.
Dr. Ozeri received his bachelor's degree from Ner Israel Rabbinical College (2007) and his doctorate in medicine from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine (2012). He did postgraduate medical training at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center and has received board certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
