Eva Umoh Asomugha, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in all conditions involving the foot and ankle region. She is based in northern Virginia. Dr. Asomugha treats Achilles tendon ruptures, bunions, degenerative conditions, and surgical management. She has a special interest in severe deformity correction and conditions that affect women. Her most recent research has explored the role of estrogen plays in developing flat foot conditions and reviewing the role of fusions in severe deformity.
Dr. Asomugha received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University. She completed her medical education at Cornell University Weill Medical College, and her orthopedic surgical residency was at Cleveland Clinic. She completed her foot and ankle fellowship training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
