John Carew, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist and an adjunct assistant professor in the department of otolaryngology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and NYU Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, and has served as general surgery resident at The New York Hospital—Cornell University Medical Center, a head and neck surgery resident at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, and served as a NCI Sponsored Fellow: Head and Neck Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Carew has had many academic appointments, including acting as assistant professor in department of otorhinolaryngology at Columbia and Cornell University Medical Center. He is also an active member of the American Association for Cancer Research. He was awarded the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and given the American Society of Head and Neck Surgery Research Grant. He is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
Dr. Carew earned his bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Carew received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College.
