Josephine Hessert, DO, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician based in Southern California. She has experience working in medicine in multiple settings around the world, including deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and North Africa. She also volunteers as a ship’s physician for expeditions traveling to Antarctica and the Arctic.
Dr. Hessert received her undergraduate degree in biology from Carleton College. She studied medicine at the University of New England and received her Master of Public Health from A.T. Still University. She has completed a residency in emergency medicine and a separate residency in aerospace medicine.
