Michael MacIntyre, MD, is a board-certified general and forensic psychiatrist. He practices general psychiatry in Los Angeles at the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. He is a Healthcare Sciences Clinical Instructor at the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine and faculty for the UCLA forensic psychiatry fellowship, where he is a frequent lecturer.Dr. MacIntyre has authored several papers for scientific publications and articles for ABC News as a member of the medical unit. He serves as an active member of his hospital’s ethics committee. He has done international medical work and continues to consult with the nation of Grenada on improvements to their mental health policy. Additionally, Dr. MacIntyre has consulted with courts and lawyers and has testified regarding mental health issues and the law.
Dr. MacIntyre graduated from medical school at The Ohio State University. He completed his general psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and his forensic psychiatry fellowship at UCLA in Los Angeles.
