Rochelle Collins, DO, FAAFP, ABOM, is a board-certified family physician who has been serving patients in the greater Hartford, Connecticut area for the past 16 years. Dr. Collins has a solo private practice in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Her mission is to provide excellent patient care through a focus on prevention and the promotion of health and wellness.
After her residency training, Dr. Collins joined Prohealth Physicians Somerset Family Healthcare in Glastonbury, Connecticut, where she worked in primary care. She left Prohealth to pursue her dream of starting her own private office.
Dr. Collins has an overall passion for promoting health and well-being with an interest in functional medicine as a means to better serve her patients who deal with chronic conditions. She earned her certification as a Diplomate of the American Association of Obesity Medicine to focus on the prevention and treatment of weight-related diseases in her community.
Dr. Collins is an assistant clinical professor of Family Medicine at the University of New England and at Quinnipiac University, where she provides teaching to medical students at her practice through their MesH program.
She has served on the Connecticut Board of Family Physicians since 2014. Her professional affiliations are with the American Osteopathic Association, American Association of Family Physicians, and she is diplomat with the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
She lives in Farmington, Connecticut with her husband and two very active children.
Dr. Collins received her degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, where she was also elected chief resident by her peers.
