Stephanie Hartselle, MD, is a board-certified pediatric and adult psychiatrist and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University, lecturing on personality disorders, psychotherapy, and substance misuse. Dr. Hartselle has served as the Medical Director of the Psychiatric Emergency Department at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, as an Attending Physician in Sleep Disorders, and in forensics from Bellevue’s Prison Medical Ward to Wyatt Federal Detention Center. Currently, she is the C.E.O. of Hartselle & Associates, a group practice in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Hartselle lectures internationally on physician wellness and psychiatric health. Additionally, she is a script and director consultant with outlets from Netflix to Warner Brothers, working to improve the portrayal of mental illness in television and film.
Dr. Hartselle received her MD from Northwestern University, completed her general psychiatry residency at New York University, and her child psychiatry fellowship at Brown University, where she served as Chief Resident.
